Bruce M. Johnson (June 8, 1945-May 11, 2009) Obituary: Bruce Michael Johnson, 63, of 250 Arbor Woods Circle, Oldsmar, Florida, passed away Monday, May 11, 2009, at Hernando Pasco Hospice, New Port Richey, FL, after a 3 year illness. Born in Titusville, PA on June 8, 1945, he was a son of Donald H. Johnson and Jean Marron Johnson. Bruce graduated from Titusville High School in 1963 and Penn State University in 1967. After serving in the USMC for two years, Bruce graduated from Duquesne School of Law and began his career with Bozic, Thomas and Johnson Law Firm in Meadville, PA. On June 16, 1973, he married the former Virgie Sheets. In 1987, he moved to Clearwater, FL with his family, where he has practiced law as an Asst. Senior Public Defender in Pinellas County. Surviving Bruce is his wife of 36 years, and his three children: Lisa Johnson-Firth and husband, Bill Major, of Manassas, VA; Todd Johnson and wife, Dana, of Trinity, FL; and Marc Johnson and wife, Heather, of Cincinnati, OH. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, his mother, Jean Johnson, his sister Susan Moungey and his brother Craig Johnson. Bruce was preceded in death by his father Donald H. Johnson. A funeral services will be held at Curlew Hills, Palm Harbor, FL on Friday, May 15th. Condolences may be submitted to the family at www.curlewhills.com.
